All Valuers are Highly Experienced, Qualified and Accredited through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). CATVal has over 31 years of experience within the Plant, Machinery Asset and Business Valuations industry; we are associated with GAVAN, a leading European and international valuation practice. CATVal also holds ‘Professional Indemnity’ insurance.

Site Inspection

Confirm assets on site, view condition, changes, usage, context. Asset registers are historical, not accurate, not up to date, not enough detail. Owners and engineers often cannot locate their own assets based on their asset register. This step is ESSENTIAL for PM&E valuation & consultation


Determine Values

Use own database of equipment and values. Contact distributors & manufacturers via telephone & email. Discuss alternatives for obsolete & superseded items – technology changes VERY quickly. Cheaper options available but skew perception of value e.g. by country of manufacture. Knowledge of process and plant is essential to understand context of machines in plant e.g. capacities, functions
